We have a small family of stray cats out back. A momma who had a litter of seven which is somehow down to three. My wife won’t let us keep them. My girls want them yesterday. Just yesterday I ventured out back to find two piles of feathers. Yes, apparently a birdie got too close.

Before that I saw a brown blur run by the patio. We have a vast array of wildlife here. Eagles, hawks, deer, otters, ducks, geese and fox. I fear a fox may have made off with the missing kittens. It’s sad to see the momma left with only a few. Her last litter was taken by animal control, courtesy of a neighbor.

I hope these little ones make it.
